Lawrence Co., PA

9/6/04 - Thanks to all who have replied to my query, especially Arlene who said that he "looks like a black-capped chickadee with either albinistic or leucistic qualities. Albinism is lack of pigment. Leucism is a lessening of proper pigment."

"Leucistic: (Unusually pale individuals, resulting from the absence of pigments. The extent of leucism can be either partial or complete.) ....He also has a very light bill and legs and feet.

3/18/05 - I continue to see this delightful chickadee at my feeders everyday.
